Tomoe Asahina
Age: 16 years
Height: 5"3 (the petite lady)
Interest: origami art, sewing, cats and archery.
Favourite color: yellow
Dream: To be a healer and help others.

Ability: The cat will fight according to Tomoe's origami folding tactics. Sometimes Nekoku would carry packets of powdered poison or pepper towards his opponents in battle. When the opponent is busy with the cat, she will use her archery skills to aim and fire.

*Her family's crest is the Twin-Bells and Plum Blossom. She comes from a prestigous and strict house, Tomoe is the eldest daughter of the main house's leader; Yoshiki Asahina. The family temples worship the kami; "Nekomata" and cats are often seen wandering around. Decorations with bells such as Tomoe's bell-hairband is one of the trademarks of their identity.

*Tomoe is watched over by her noble friend; the cat ninja 'Nekoku'. Sharp-eyed, this feline uses his quick reflexes to protect his mistress. There is a legend that he was a reincarnated shinobi but its just an old wives tale.

Her Backstory
For all her priestess training, Tomoe was taught everything from her grandmother; Kaede. She would spend her weekends staying at her house and listen to her stories. Granny Kaede gave her the Siamese Cat, 'Nekoku' and said that he was a 'reincarnation' of a great ninja, who swore to protect the Asahina mikos, hence his 'warrior' actions. Whether this was true, Tomoe kept the secret to herself.

Although at home, Tomoe was always doing her best in the comfort of her parents but they were never encouraging. Nothing she did, was 'accepted', when her relatives would say how well-mannered she was, her mom denies it: "She's too timid, and won't speak up" and soon this young girl became the background much to her dismay.

Granny Kaede said that Tomoe chan was alot like herself, but if she doesn't change herself, she will grow up bitter inside and hating life. But unknowing to Tomoe, this was her last night together and her grandma said before sleeping; ; "Choose your own destiny, Tomoe-chan" and the next day she passed away in sleep. After the funeral, she overhears her parent's discussion on arranging a prospective marriage for Tomoe. "Ah Tomoe is such a wallflower, I'm worried that if she keeps staying with us, she wont attract a good man." Her dad agreed, and started to seek potential suitors. Hearing that news, Tomoe packed up and ran away from home.

Her reason of joining the SDL? Becoming a new and stronger Tomoe who isn't invisible. So strong that even her parents would be proud and say; i'm so proud of you for being our daughter, Tomoe.
