Last Weekend i visited the special Singapore Toy and Comic Convention, which is an event for general entertainment such as Toy-making, movies (Star Wars, Harry Potter.etc), comics from Marvel to Manga and gaming

At first i thought it was gonna be similar to an Anime convention, so i was surprised at the lack of anime cosplayers but i got to take photos of a few: [link]

Instead it was almost like a different type of convention on its own, i got to see the famous TokiDoki stall of adorable designs, the creator was so busy signing autographs for people: [link]

Another surprising factor were the Artist Alleys, they were set in personal booths, with your team title's name above, and rather than just a table to display, they gave a private wall along with it. These teams took their jobs seriously, and quite professional arranged. There were banners, stands and flyers along with the artwork and products.

Gempak Starz is Singapore's magazine company and so far they have mags in Chinese and Malaysian. Now they're sponsoring a new ENGLISH magazine called POPCORN, and are looking for CARTOONIST/MANGA ARTISTS to submit their stuff to the issues! (international accepted)

Association of Comic Artists (ACAS)is a special organization who promote member's artwork on site and along with editors they will publish a book with all the student's works and distribute it internationally. (only to S'ore residence).
